Socrative was developed in 2010 by Boston-based graduate school students. It allows teachers to create simple quizzes that students can take quickly on laptops via classroom tablet computers or their own smartphones. Socrative has more than 350,000 teachers registered for free accounts, and that more than 1700 districts or schools count at least 20 teachers as users. 

If you use socrative you will be able to use it with the following activities: quizzes can be true/false, multiple choice, graded short answer or allow open-ended short responses.

The Importance of Technology

The technology class was one of my favorite classes during this semester. It offers us as new English Teacher new tools and applications that we can use in our classes to teach our students the different skills of English Language.  This class helped me to see the importance of technology in a classroom. I love to do new things with my students and since we started to learn each one of the applications, I also have been using them in my classes with my students and we all have enjoyed more the classes.Using technology in the classes offer my students an innovative and fun environment. I have had the opportunity to see the huge impact that it generates in my students. It helps them to learn more and fast. Technology has made many of my students to show more interest to learn and love English.
